Here at Bildeston Community Support we believe in the old model of community. As a rural area with limited public transport, we look after ‘our own’ in a multitude of ways.
The Foodbank
The Bildeston Community Support Foodbank supplies families with all the normal dried and tinned staples, together with cleaning products and hygiene products. This is also supplemented by donations of fruit and vegetables from local growers and supermarkets.
Support
Because everybody’s circumstances are different, we spend time getting to know our families. Every situation has complex needs that can generate feelings of stress and isolation. Through building a relationship based on discretion and trust, we help identify any core issues and offer advice, support and help to make everybody feel valued.
Referral
We encourage that people reach out as Bildeston Community Support is also able to refer you to local organisations that may be able to help. If you, or anyone you know, needs help or support, whether a one-off or extended help, please speak in strict confidence, to one of our team of trained volunteers.
